My lasting impression from the tour was how these shop-keepers really take pride and enjoyment in what they do, whether it’s pea soup or cookies, it was refreshing to see people living out their passion.

The Dutch are known for many things (ice-skating, wooden shoes, tall people, windmills, tulips, yadah yadah. The list is long), but food isn't one of them. We want to change that.

Our original Hungry Birds street food adventure is all about feeding you a delicious mix of traditional and modern Dutch food that Amsterdammers love to eat. Think of this as "the greatest hits of Amsterdam". We'll feed you the 'eat-ssentials' that we think reflect Amsterdam past and present. We'll do that in the trendy neighbourhood of De Pijp, home to the famous Albert Cuyp Market and tons of good eats. We'll then munch our way through the city and end with a toast (and hugs).

This experience is perfect for the first-time visitor or someone who hasn't got a clue about Dutch food. Sure, there will be herring, cheese and stroopwafels. But there's more. We'll get you properly introduced. Got 4,5 hours to spare? Let us take you by the hand (or wing) and bring you to places we love, to eat food that we like, and tell you stories about our incredible city and its people. After all, isn't that what travel is about?
